About the event
Here’s the scoop:
🥾 The Hike: Starting near the Arboretum in Tucker Valley, this 5.9-mile out-and-back trail takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete. The path winds along the Cuesa River, leading hikers through dense forest and into striking rock gorges. Be prepared for riverbed walking and occasional scrambling over boulders.
🌿 The Reward: The gorges themselves are the highlight — towering rock walls carved by the river over centuries, creating a serene and otherworldly atmosphere. The combination of bamboo arches, tall trees, and the sound of flowing water makes for a tranquil experience.
🍍 Post-Hike Treat: After the hike, consider visiting nearby eateries in Chaguaramas or enjoying a picnic in the scenic surroundings.
⚠️ Important:
Wear sturdy, water-resistant footwear for river crossings
